Care Cars (Frontier Behavioral Health/Elder Services)

Who We Are

Care Cars volunteers have been helping transport at-risk seniors, disabled and isolated residents in Spokane County to their medical appointment since 1984.

In that time, volunteer drivers have logged over 125,000 trips and more than 1.5 million miles! As part of the Spokane County Transportation Plan, Care Cars helps vulnerable adults access vital services.

Please call one of our Volunteer Specialists  at (509) 458-7450 to see if this opportunity is right for you!

What We Do

Volunteer drivers pick up riders at their home, escort them to the medical appointments and return them home. To be a Care Cars volunteer driver, you must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and insurance.

Volunteers are screened for compatibility and receive an orientation training in communication, community resources, aging and disability issues. Criminal history background check and driver's abstract required.

We will work around student's schedule. Drivers are reimbursed for gas mileage.
