Food For All Farm, located on the banks of Latah Creek (1635 W 26th Ave), offers a service opportunity focused on connecting with nature, learning about sustainable agriculture, and working to increase access to healthy local food for the Spokane community. We need help from groups and individuals to work with us in the field by planting, weeding, harvesting, and by performing other general labor. Opportunities exist to learn and hone gardening skills regardless of prior experience. Food For All sells produce for affordable prices at farmers markets to low-income individuals, distributes food to food-insecure individuals, raises plant starts for community gardens, and donates to several low-income housing units in the community. Many generous volunteers who work and learn with us throughout the season from mid-March through October contribute their time and effort to provide food, better health, and wellbeing to the Spokane community. Work differs from season to season and we welcome both individual volunteers and volunteer groups to lend a helping hand.
We recommend volunteers dress in layers and BRING A WATER BOTTLE! Volunteers interested can contact Connor Beck at 952-288-5370 or at email@example.com. Also, we invited interested individuals to fill out a volunteer registration form as soon as possible, found at the following link: https://www.catholiccharitiesspokane.org/general-volunteer-packet.
