Who We Are
Tens of millions of people are on the move, seeking new opportunities and/ or fleeing violence, persecution, and natural disasters. Those migrating need help establishing themselves materially, socially, and spiritually in new communities. At the same time, fear and resentment are rising among those who are not migrating. Increasingly, established community members around the world are resistant to newcomers, despite many clearly documented benefits that come with immigrants.
Thrive International specializes in educating, training, and empowering both immigrants and citizens to develop relationships with one another that are mutually transformative and enrich entire communities. We help immigrants move “from surviving to thriving” through empowerment programs focused specifically on the needs and opportunities experienced by adolescents, women, and recognized community and faith leaders. We help empower citizens in our community by providing educational programs, and opportunities to develop relationships through volunteer activities.
What We Do
Thrive International provides several programs designed to support refugee and immigrant families, including Housing, Women, and Youth programs. The Housing program provides temporary housing to help families move from surviving to thriving. Thrive also offers financial education support and youth-focused after-school programs, such as Homework and Math Club. The Women’s program provides additional support and resources to help women and families build stability, independence, and a stronger future.
