Volunteer: Gonzaga ESL Community Outreach (GECO)Established in 2012, Gonzaga ESL Community Outreach (GECO) is a community-based program which provides free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes weekly to immigrant and refugee adults in Spokane. GECO is organized and taught by graduate students in GU’s Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA/TESOL) program, allowing them to gain valuable teaching and leadership experience while engaging with the community.
