Zag PACK (Providing Access to College for Kids) -  Connects Gonzaga students with local youth through fun, supportive, and meaningful programming. Student leaders serve as positive role models while helping elementary and middle school students build relationships, develop social-emotional skills, and succeed academically. Programs take place throughout the week, Monday–Thursday, with opportunities varying by program and school.

Gonzaga Athletes Mentoring for Excellence (GAME) is a group mentoring program that places GU students with middle school youth and using group activities, athletics, and reflection as an avenue for relationship building and skill development. GAME mentors attend weekly programming (Wednesdays 3:30-5:30PM OR Mondays 8-10AM), attend a monthly lunch visit at their assigned school, and participate in Saturday activities once a semester.  GAME is a semester-long commitment for GU students. We encourage mentors to consider committing to the program for longer than one semester, but this is not a requirement.

This program is a group mentoring program where you help students navigate to their post secondary education goals! If you ever wished you have the advice and guidance of someone close to your age when preparing to enter college, the workforce or military service after high school, this is your chance to be that for a local student!

Spring 2026 Semester: SLOTS OPEN

Brainwave Buddies is an art-based creative mentorship program that is designed to bring together students that identify as neurodiverse from both Gonzaga University and Yasuhara Middle School.  It aims to foster a sense of community amongst the students (grades 6-8) through creative-based curriculum that is adaptable to the unique needs of the participants. This program aims to provide students with the support and tools to promote self-advocacy for their own unique needs and strengths, both in and outside of the classroom. Our curriculum also aims to create confidence in post-secondary education and career exploration of students who identify as neurodivergent, through the lived experience of our mentors and student leaders. Mentors will attend weekly programming (Wednesdays 3:00-5:30 PM) at Yasuhara Middle School and a monthly lunch visit. Mentors will also be required to attend a weekly meeting with their student leaders and AmeriCorps to discuss the upcoming activity.
