Who We Are

The Lands Council is a nearly 40 year old environmental nonprofit that currently employs 6 full time staff members. Volunteers make the work that we accomplish here in the Inland Northwest possible. Our Restoration, Public Lands, and Climate Justice programs provide avenues for volunteer engagement and action for anyone to be able to engage with environmental justice issues and their immediate environment.

What We Do

The Lands Council works to preserve and revitalize Inland Northwest forests, water, and wildlife through advocacy, education, effective action, and community engagement. We collaborate with a broad range of interested parties to seek smart and mutually respectful solutions to environment and health issues. We’re enriched by the beauty of nature. We’re energized by the recreational opportunities it affords. And we’re inspired to preserve its legacy for future generations.

Our Programs:

  • Watershed Restoration
  • Environmental Education
  • Urban Canopy
  • Climate Justice
  • Public Lands and Habitat Preservation
