Who We Are
Rooted in Welcome. Manzanita House is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Spokane, WA. Recognizing the resiliency of the communities we serve, our mission is to welcome and equip immigrants with tools, resources, and connections to achieve equity in the Inland Northwest. We provide immigration legal services, community power building, resource navigation, and trainings.
The name was inspired by the resilience of the Manzanita plant that withstands and thrives in the wake of wildfires, as we see this resiliency in the immigrant community.
What We Do
Manzanita House has multiple locations, so volunteer opportunities are varied. Volunteer positions include heritage language (not English) class assistants, women's teatime assistants, legal office assistants, and food distribution volunteers.
