Who We Are

Northeast Youth & Family Services (NEYFS) is a family resource center committed to empowering generations by providing support to children and their families in Northeast Spokane through our community garden on Mision Avenue and the Queen Avenue resource pantry, where we give diapers, clothing, hygiene, and food. There are no barriers of entry.

What We Do

We have many resources to organize and two different sites (with just the executive director and the Jesuit Volunteer to coordinate and run). At the garden, during the spring and summer and early fall months, there is planting, weeding, watering, harvesting to do. We have to keep the Little Free Pantry filled each day with donation cans as well there. Sometimes we have fun community events there, which we'd also need volunteers to help run. For the Queen Ave resource pantry, each week there is clothing organizing, laundry (we run donated clothes through the wash first) and stickering and organizing hygiene pantry items. Then, every couple of weeks/month, we have to organize new diapers and organize makeup donations. This would enable the Jesuit Volunteer and Executive Director to focus on grant-writing, capacity-building, crafting partnerships, doing outreach for more volunteers, and plan new programs to better serve the community.
