Who We Are
Nourish Spokane Soup Kitchen & Food Pantry is a community-based hunger relief program serving individuals and families in Spokane Valley and surrounding areas. We provide free hot meals and grocery support in a welcoming, dignified, and inclusive environment where everyone is treated with respect. Operated by the Filipino American Northwest Association (FANA), Nourish Spokane serves an average of 60 households every two weeks, supported by weekly food pickups from local food banks, grocery partners, farms, and community donors. Our work depends on dedicated volunteers who assist with food pickup, sorting and shelving, grocery bagging, meal service, and pantry distribution. Volunteers are at the heart of our mission. We offer flexible 1–2 hour shifts, making it easy for Gonzaga students to serve individually or with groups. Volunteering with Nourish Spokane provides hands-on experience in food security, public health, nonprofit service, and community engagement, while making a meaningful impact in our local community.
What We Do
FANA serves the Spokane Valley community through our soup kitchen and pantry program, Nourish Spokane. We host dinners from 1-3 pm, every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. For anyone interesting in serving with us at Nourish Spokane, please check our Community Needs for signup links, and refer to the Volunteer Handbook and Safety Training Binder I attached in the link below. We could use your help the most during PREPPING day for both the kitchen and food pantry
