Solar Washington

Solar Washington is a non-profit organization comprised of people, companies, programs and organizations joining together to advance solar energy in Washington State. We are an association of solar energy equipment manufacturers, system integrators, distributors, dealers, designers, installers, consultants, students, teachers, homeowners, and solar enthusiasts.

Through education and community involvement, we promote the development and effective use of solar energy and its contribution to the economic, environmental and social fabric of Washington State.

Solar Washington offers multiple opportunities for volunteer involvement.

Our committees focus on key organizational needs. The Membership & Fundraising Committee (monthly meetings) recruits members, seeks sponsors, and secures silent auction donations. The Education & Communication Committee (meets as needed) supports newsletters and webinars. The Solar Summit Planning Committee (meets twice monthly, weekly in September and October) coordinates all aspects of the annual Solar Summit.

Volunteers may also assist with events and outreach. Opportunities include supporting monthly webinars, contributing to the newsletter, researching solar news and job postings, representing Solar Washington at community events, and developing social media content.
