Who We Are
The Hutton Settlement nurtures, educates and prepares children, ages 5 to 18, who are in need of a safe and healthy home. The historic campus consists of four large homes, supported by 319 acres of pristine natural settings with opportunities for learning and recreation. Throughout our nearly 100 year history, we have partnered with countless families to help children in need. We aren't just a place to live, but rather a neighborhood of care, providing opportunities for growth and development for children residing with us. It is our vision that through excellence in residential care the Hutton Settlement will empower each child to lead an independent and fulfilled life of value and contribution. A family oriented residential facility for non-delinquent, dependent children. Duplicates a traditional middle-class, family atmosphere emphasizing school and community involvement through high school graduation. Children are accepted at age 5-14 and may remain through high school graduation. No child is refused because a parent or relative is unable to pay fee.
What We Do
Be a Hutton Settlement volunteer tutor and assist children in their academic and social development! Build quality relationships while being a volunteer tutor for a child. Commit to only one to two hours a week based on your availability. Children's study hour is from 4:00 - 5:00 P.M., Monday through Thursday. All volunteers must meet certain qualifications and will undergo background checks.
