Who We Are
We offer the following free services for children from birth through 12 years old.
Emergency Respite Care:
We provide 24-hour emergency respite care for children. Families come to us when they are experiencing any type of stress or challenge that makes it difficult for them to provide safe care for their children.
Parent Support:
-Circle of Security parenting classes - 8-week series
-HOPE Program (Holistic Opportunities Providing Empowerment)
Crisis Counseling:
-24/7 Telephone counseling
-Referrals to other agencies for assistance
Basic Needs:
-Diapers
-Formula
-Baby wipes
Volunteer Information: Offers immediate, short term care for children birth-12 years old when parents are in need of support in caring for their children. Children stay at Vanessa Behan for up to 72 hours while their parents take time to work through stress, tension and crisis. Background check, fingerprinting, other minimum licensing requirements, and training required. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. 1 Semester commitment necessary, more encouraged. http://www.vanessabehan.org/volunteer/ (complete online)
