Who We Are

The Northeast Community Center is located in the heart of the 99207 zip code, known by many as the poorest zip code in the state. We take an entrepreneurial approach to the business of providing access to foundational services and generate the operating revenue for the facility, playground, parking lot, and community garden by renting quality, affordable space to other non-profits that work as a unit to support families.

What We Do

The Northeast Community Center provides low-income families access to affordable services that support them in becoming and remaining self-sufficient. Services working together in our facility include medical/dental, counseling for youth, energy assistance, WIC, senior wellness programs, public computer access, and early learning for 300 pre-school age kids. We also offer access to food through the WSU Food Sense program and a 48 bed community garden, classes in Survival English for newly arriving immigrants, Responsible Renter classes that help families access affordable housing, and currently developing access to technology for youth.
