Big Brothers Big Sisters is recruiting volunteers to be mentors in our Lunch Buddies Program at Stevens Elementary.
This program pairs (matches) adult mentors with elementary students who face a variety of risk factors affecting their daily success in school.
All mentors must complete a background check, interview and training prior to becoming matched to a mentee. Commitments are for one full school year and may be extended ot the following school year if all parties agree.
Matches will spend time during lunch/recess playing games, working on homework, discussing life challenges and success and eating lunch. The consistency in showing up for the student is the most important part of this program. Being their 'buddy' matters!
