World Relief Spokane is a Christian non-profit organization welcoming refugees and immigrants. Our services include: initial and extended case management, economic empowerment services, cultural adaptation, and providing a warm welcome as we help our new friends find services and make Spokane home.
Our work depends heavily on volunteer support, both through long term volunteers (3-6 months+) and interns.
Students serving at World Relief complete an application process, online orientation, and a 1.5 hour in-person orientation. A background check is required for all volunteers and interns before placement for service.
We’re looking for compassionate individuals to serve 2-4 hours per week in one of the following roles:
- A Friendship Partner to a new refugee or immigrant
- Practicing English with refugees or immigrants
- Case management assistance
- Transportation assistance
- Apartment Set-up assistance
- Role playing in a Refugee Simulation
- Assisting with general office administration tasks
- Warehouse/ donation assistance
Volunteer position descriptions can be found on our website at: https://worldrelief.org/spokane/get-involved/volunteer/
For students interested in internship opportunities (15-20 hours per week for 10-12 weeks), more information can be found online at: https://worldrelief.org/spokane/get-involved/internships/
